DEVELOPMENT TEAM FIXTURES

There is a new Junior Development League for the 2011-12 season, replacing the old Conference League. Rules may be adjusted to cater for the younger players.

For the JDL only the dates are purely indicative and they can actually be played at any time by mutual agreement of the clubs concerned.
There is no compunction to play all [or indeed any] of the fixtures set out.
There is no stipulation on the date, timing, pitch size [or indeed team size] for the League. It is simply up to the 2 clubs to agree when, where etc.
The emphasis is to get as much ‘semi-formal’ junior hockey played as possible and the flexibility covered above will allow older players to ‘double up’ over the course of a weekend [or week, or more] to allow this to happen. There is a requirement that there must be a minimum of 5 players aged U18 on the field of play. U13 players are permitted and any ‘adults’ must play in a manner which reflects the status of the League.
